This month brings Hidden Inspirations, a workshop with Project Meraki. Hidden Inspirations explores the idea and concept of movement, the various ways it is manifested in and understood by the mind-body system.
With this workshop, we will be exploring the presence of ‘hidden inspirations’ within us; instead of making movement, how do we let movement happen? The workshop will be a progression of guided activities towards unpacking and inspiring the natural (at times dormant, at times hidden) mover within all of us.
Meraki wishes to nudge the participants into experiencing that we need not switch on or off as movers – to discover the hidden inspirations within and without. In Greek, ‘Meraki’ means to do something with soul, creativity or love – to put something of oneself into one’s work. Project Meraki, conceived in February this year, is a team of four contemporary dancers/ movers and interdisciplinary artists-in-progress. Read more about them here.
