Chai Biscuit is a meeting ground for performers from diverse backgrounds to come together and form a democratic, trusting and encouraging community. It is an attempt to bridge the gaps in the dance map of the city and a platform for exchange, peer sharing and future collaborations. The aim is to create a support system within the community and opportunities to connect to a larger group of artists.
Chai Biscuit #3 looks at ‘collaborations’. What do they mean? What do we think they mean? How does one go about them? Where does one look for collaborators? What do collaborators offer each other and how do they benefit from this exchange? Are they useful to the artist? And finally, why is collaboration so interesting anyway?
Chai Biscuit #3 will be hosted by Padma Damodaran. Padma Damodaran is an actor, writer and dancer. A former business journalist, she is also one of the co-convenors of the Drama School, Mumbai. She has acted on stage and on screen, in classical and modern shows, and has written, choreographed and directed her own productions.
