Chai Biscuit # 2

Chai Biscuit is a meeting ground for performers from diverse backgrounds to come together and form a democratic, trusting and encouraging community. It is an attempt to bridge the gaps in the dance map of the city and a platform for exchange, peer sharing and future collaborations. The aim is to create a support system within the community and opportunities to connect to a larger group of artists.

Chai Biscuit #2 encourage us to look at creative career options for dancers. Besides performance and teaching, there are multiple opportunities for those in the field of dance, they feel, and we put our heads to together to explore those options over chai and biscuits.

Chai Biscuit #2 draws on conversations and responses gleaned from our first Chai Biscuit last month, where practitioners and arts administrators dwelt on the dynamics of dance in Bombay, brainstorming to identify their concerns and find solutions to shared issues.

Chai Biscuit #2 will be hosted by Komal Gujarathi and Tejali Kunte. We’re thrilled to be hosting it at The Wooden Stage, a lovely performing arts space in Vile Parle (W).
